Role Overview

As an R&D Intern, you will contribute to cutting-edge projects in robotics, automation, and biotechnology, supporting the development and optimization of our microinjection platforms. This internship offers hands-on experience in hardware/software integration, experimental design, and data analysis in a fast-paced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in design, testing, and optimization of robotic microinjection systems for various organisms.

  • Support proof-of-concept experiments and collect performance metrics (e.g., survival rates, injection accuracy).

  • Collaborate with engineers and scientists on hardware improvements and ML model training for organism-specific features.

  • Document experimental protocols and contribute to internal reports.

  • Participate in troubleshooting and failure mode analysis during beta tests.

  • Engage in literature review and competitive benchmarking for emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Robotics, Computer Science, or related field.

  • Basic knowledge of molecular biology techniques and/or robotics systems.

  • Familiarity with Python or MATLAB for data analysis is a plus.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative team setting.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with microinjection, microscopy, or automation tools.

  • Exposure to machine learning concepts for biological applications.

  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
